Koen De Bouw (°1964) followed his acting training at Studio Herman Teirlinck Antwerp. During his training he made his debut with the leading role in the Dutch film Han de Wit. He spent several years combining his participation in the TV series Wittekerke , Windkracht 10 , Vermist and prestigious series Stille Waters with acting in the theatre.
The production company that previously shot Verlengd Weekend and Science Fiction, asked him for a prominent role in Brasserie Romantiek.
In 2003, the most successful film The Memory of a Killer even known as De Zaak Alzheimer, he played the leading role of Eric Vyncke, directed by Erik Van Looy who also asked him to play in all his subsequent films, for instance the box-office success, Loft, in 2008. In Germany, he played a prominent role in the film Falling Rocks in 1999 and in the telefilm Erwischt Voll. The Danish-Dutch series, The Team, in which he plays the role of a Flemish police inspector, is transmitted by several European stations in 2015. Het Vonnis, in which Koen plays the lead role, made a big impression at the Festival of Montreal. In 2014 he started up a new TV series for VRT, Professor T. By now they already recorded the third season. In 2016 the newest blockbuster of Erik Van Looy released, De Premier. Koen portrayed the lead role of Michel Devreese.
