After graduating in 1998 from Studio Herman Teirlinck in her hometown Antwerp, Inge Paulussen (°1976) mainly focused on playing on the stage of various companies
(Laika, Het Gevolg, Toneelhuis, HetPaleis, Froefroe etc.)
Her work here was selected twice for the Theaterfestival, namely Asem (dir. Luc Perceval) and De Gebroeders Karamazov (dir. Jan Roets & Greet Vissers).
For Belgian and Dutch TV-audiences however, Inge Paulussen is an incontestable household name. Not only because of her recurrent lead in the TV series Witse, neither for her parts in a long list of TV-drama and -comedy (Zuidflank, Loslopend Wild, Deadline 25/5, Vermist, Cordon, De Ridder, Prof. T.) she will be particularly remembered for her impressive interpretation of one of the sisters in the highly-praised and awardwinning series Clan.
Her cinema debut in a french spoken film, L’amour en Suspens (dir. Herman Vaneycken) was rightly awarded with the Prix de la Meilleure Interprétation, in Marcel Pagnol’s hometown festival of Aubagne for her leading performance of a handicapped woman fighting the prejudices of her bourgeois background.
Meanwhile Inge combines her work on stage with recurrent parts in series as Beau Séjour, Cordon-II and Gent West . Recently she joined the cast of the romcom Allemaal Familie (dir. Dries Vos) to be released soon.
