Hilde Heijnen (°1965) started her film career with an international leading role, alongside Catherine Deneuve, James Wilby and Denis Lavant in la partie’ d’echec (best movie int. filmfestival Gent) and later on in Olivetti 82. She played the part of the Grand Actress in Parade’s End, a TV series for HBO/BBC2. Hilde played supporting and lead roles in Flemish TV series such as Catherine Smets in Coppers, Gina in 180, Sonja in Deadline 14/10, Catherine in Wij Alexander, In Flanders Fields, Code 37, De Rodenburgs, Wolven, De Vijfhoek, and guestparts in Vermist, Aspe etc... She worked together with director Tom Shankland, and actors as James Nesbitt and Thecky Karyo for a new limited drama series The Missing where she played the part of Vivienne.
Hilde played lead roles in over 40 plays from among others Shakespeare, Garcia Lorca, Strindberg,T. Willliams, Srbljanovis, Tom Lanoy, Ionescu. Hilde created performances for the university of Antwerp, together with Tuur Florizoone and Alain Pringels for the honory doctorates in 2012 and in 2013 for the 10th anniversary of Antwerp University. In the Opera House of Antwerp she gave in 2015 a two-week master class for the Masters for Audiovisuals Arts at Rits.
Hilde is a member of the jury for the “Ensor” Filmfestival Oostende. At the end of 2017 you can see Hilde on the big screen in the newest film of Jan Verheyen called Het Tweede Gelaat.
