Dorien Clippel (° 1992) graduated from the School of Arts in Ghent. At the age of 15 she had a first professional contact on stage with the presentation of the theater company MONDAYS JAN. This performance toured for 3 years throughout Europe.
Her love for acting was a fact.
Shortly after Dorien started out in her first role as Mireille in the movie Little Black Spiders. During her second year of Drama, she was contacted by director Dirk Tanghe to play a starring role in The Seagull by A. Chekhov.
The performance was well reviewed by the press and Dorien was described as an "interesting new and upcoming talent."
Afterwards she played a few guest roles in several Flemish series such as Vermist, Vriendinnen and De Kroongetuige.
In 2013 she played in the short film De Honger directed by Benoit De Clerck. This film opened the International Short Film Festival and won several prices in Louvain and Corsica.
During her studies Dorien enrolled in different graduation projects from film students to get that extra of camera experience.
As Her internship she started working at theatercompany Luxembourg in Antwerp with their producten ROOD.
In 2016 her path will be set and got het first leading part in a 3 season series with working title "Zodiak".
